Get Down and Boogie Prego!

Chris and I at Paula's Wedding (Yes, Prego's can get down too!)

This is Chris' mom, Chris, and myself at Paula's wedding. Hopefully this is the last time I have to dress up while being prego. Being comfy is worth millions!

Okay, so Chris and I went to one of Chris' childhood friend's wedding (Paula's) last weekend. Chris was looking as charming as ever while I'm tipping the scales being prego. I guess we're "complimenting" each other in the weight department these days. Everyone says all of the time that I look great and that I'm all belly, but don't under estimate the new ghetto booty and thunder thighs I have inherited in these past 8 months so far! Lately I have felt like a huge whale while I accidently bump my belly bump into things without even noticing. I feel like I've grown so much in the past few weeks. I have no idea how in the world my precious baby of mine is even going to grow anymore in my human incubator. We have 5 weeks left until her debut and I'm hoping and praying that mother nature will be kind. The point is...I look like I'm ready to pop at some point soon and I can't imagine being any larger. I've had so many people even ask me if I'm having twins......NO!!! While I cannot complain about how the rest of my pregnancy has gone, I still can't help but to feel the "I'm a whale prego blues".

ANYWAY, back to the wedding....Chris and I had a blast. I even managed to put on some heels for the first time in months! I won't lie, I had to finigle my way into those strapy things. I couldn't help but to laugh when I finally got them onto my swollen feet. I looked like an elehant trying to wear thin strings around my feet for shoes. It was pretty funny. Chris insisted that I just wear flip flops, but I just couldn't wear sandals to a wedding in a nice formal dress! Is he crazy? That's a man for you...not worried about accessorizing, matching, or looking good. After leaving the house to attend the wedding, my feet felt amazingly great. I even managed to get out on the dance floor at the reception to get down to dance with my husband. For those of you who know me well, you know that I cannot bypass dancing. That's my thing! I LOVE to dance and I put my back into it! Put me on a dance floor with music and I'm set. After a few hours after lots of sitting, dancing, and sipping on my fantastic sparkling water while my mouth was watering watching everyone else enjoy adult beverages...we decided to leave the party. Yes, we were still the early fuddy duddy's leaving the scene I have to admit. I'd like to blame it on the baby, but maybe I'm just getting older now and can't hang until the wee hours of the morning anymore. Sad, but true. The next morning after the wedding, Chris' mom cracked me up when she mentioned how all of the older individuals at the reception couldn't believe that I was dancing so crazy and wearing heels while being so pregnant. I may be pregnant, but I'm not dead! Get down and boogie sisters!

People can just be rude sometimes. I had people ask if I was having twins too and make statements like, "looks like you could go any minute". Really? Cause I have 5 weeks left!
